Pheroine is the alter ego of Egyptian-Canadian singer, songwriter, lyricist and pianist Natalie Boutari. In 2012 Pheroine released her debut EP as a rock band. Her current music expresses strong emotions and some humour with a blend of trap, hiphop, pop, classical and R&B. She is extremely versatile when it comes to vocal range and style. She learned piano at the age of 7 and started writing music and entertaining audiences throughout high school in Bahrain, where she was born and raised. Natalie immigrated to Canada as a student at U of T. Her first Toronto show took place at the historic Buddies In Bad Times Theatre in 2008. Since then Pheroine has taken the stage in cherished Toronto venues such as The Hideout, The Drake Underground, Silver Dollar Room, The Painted Lady, The Black Swan, El Mocambo, Holy Joe’s, and Tennessee Tavern. Pheroine plans on releasing her first album in 2025 and is working on different genres such as alternative rock and synth-pop.

After working on multiple versions, Zoss G revised and re-recorded his verses. The song is now complete and ready for release on all platforms. When creating this track, we aimed to capture a vibe of luxury, success, and confidence – focusing on positivity and those who support us, leaving negativity behind. These emotions were translated into lyrics, shaping the essence of the song “ICI”.
